MEET MELISSA HATTINGH
I help students, school leavers and young adults make sense of one of the biggest questions they face: What should I do next?
My approach combines psychology, career development and psychometric assessment with personalized guidance, practical research and clear recommendations.
HOW I GOT HERE
My interest in careers started with a fascination for people — how we think, what motivates us, and why some environments bring out the best in us while others simply don’t.
I studied Physiology and Psychology before completing an Honours degree in Psychology in South Africa. I later trained in practical psychometry, which gave me a structured way to explore aptitude, reasoning, personality and other factors that influence career fit.
After working in education overseas and later moving to Australia, I completed further study in Career Development. That combination of psychology, assessment and career guidance eventually became the foundation for MH Careers.
What I enjoy most is working with young people at the point where everything still feels open. You do not need to have your future figured out at 17 or 18. My role is to help you understand yourself better, explore realistic options and make your next decision with more confidence.
